Perfectly positioned between a scenic beach and freshwater lagoon, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara offers refreshing luxury, and also a gateway to Oman’s cultural treasures. It is the only luxury villa resort in Salalah – the first of its kind.
With an opulent design inspired by Dhofar’s rich heritage and the region’s iconic coastal fortresses, the striking resort features lush tropical gardens, walkways surrounded by towering palms and eye-catching water features.
The luxury resort comprises 136 rooms including 40 Premier and Deluxe Rooms, 8 one bedroom Villas and 88 one, two and three bedroom Private Pool Villas. The Pool Villas feature private temperature-controlled swimming pools, and living quarters, each generously spaced out to ensure maximum privacy and seclusion.
Culture aficionados can take part in historical and cultural tours, water lovers can enjoy scuba diving and an array of water sports; foodies can participate in cookery classes; and spa lovers can indulge in Razul treatment rooms and the first hamman in Salalah.
Three restaurant and lounge venues offer unique culinary experience. Sakalan, meaning ‘The Land of Frankincense’, is an all-day dining restaurant bringing a variety of flavours from all around the world for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mekong is an Asian specialty restaurant offering exquisite cuisine from South East Asia. Guests can dine in the elegant dining room or enjoy an alfresco table on the terrace overlooking the lagoon. Almina, meaning ‘Port’ a relaxed Mediterranean beach bar and restaurant captures zesty flavours in a relaxed ambience. The beachside restaurant offers dishes from Lebanon, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Spain, perfect for a light lunch or an evening meal. Shisha is available on the terrace.
Guests can also indulge in Dining by Design, with a choice of tailored menus served by a personal chef and waiter in idyllic settings either on the beach, in the gardens or in the privacy of guest’s villas.
Extensive facilities include a fully-equipped gym, watersports centre (motorised and non-motorised), outdoor infinity pool, kids club, library, gaming room, teens club, tennis, volleyball, badminton and basketball courts.
Located next to Al Baleed Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site as well as the Botanical Garden and Museum of Frankincense, visitors can shroud themselves in Oman’s costal heritage as well as enjoy a luxurious beach and lagoon oasis.
Please note that there is a mandatory fee of OMR 5 per adult per stay excluded from the room rates which is the fee for Al Baleed Archaeological Park. This fee will give guest’s access to Al Baleed Archaeological Park, Sumhuram Archaeological Park, Shisr and Wadi Dawkah.
Please note that there is a compulsory New Year’s Eve dinner on 31 December 2019 for all resort guests booked over this date. Priced at OMR 120 per adult, and OMR 60 per child aged 5 - 12 years. Prices are subject to 8% service charge and 9% government tax.
